Singular and Plural Noun

Most noun have two form : Singular and Plural

A noun refers to only one thing or person it is said to be Singular.

A noun refers to more than one thing or person of the same kind,It is said to be Plural.

Changing from singular to plural

1.Most nouns form the plural form by simply adding 

the letter s to the singular form of the word.

2.To form the Plural of noun ending in sh,ch,s,ss, x ,z,or zz add es to the singular noun.

3.If a singular noun ends in y and there is a consonant before it, then the y is change to i and es is added to the noun to form its plural form.

4.If the singular noun end in y and there is vowel before it, then the y is simply added to the noun, to form its plural form.

5.Some nouns that end in f, fe or ff form the plural by changing the final f form to ves.

                             Wolf                                    Wolves

                         

6.Some noun ending in f ,form the plural by adding s to singular noun.

7.Some others have two forms of the plural.

8.Some noun ending o ,add s to the singular noun to form the plural noun.

9.Some noun ending in o ,add es to the singular noun.

10.Others that form the plural with both s and es include.
